(TargetLiberty.org) – The United States government has managed to get both Israel and Hamas, the terrorist group in control of Gaza, to agree that President Joe Biden has changed his policy when it comes to Israel.

This shift in policy has been praised by Hamas while being slammed by Israel after on Monday there was a vote from abstention by the United States following a vote in the United Nations Security Council calling for a cease-fire without having a demand that the remaining hostages be released. However, the United States maintains that the resolution in question is nonbinding.

Despite this, Hamas has been emboldened by this latest move, with Ghazi Hamad, the group’s spokesperson arguing that there was no doubt that there are changes in the policy of the American administration towards Israel. He further argued that it is possible that this change is the result of the foolish and “stupid policy” followed by the “occupying state” whom he accuses of starving and murdering civilians and committing genocide.

He continues by noting that it is possible that the United States considers that Israel is putting them in a complicated position on the world stage as they are not able to justify the actions that Israel has taken in retaliation against civilians in Gaza. He added that it is also possible that the United States believes that Israel has thus far been failing to achieve the goal that they had set for themselves.

Following the U.S.’s vote, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled the country’s delegation that was set to visit Washington, D.C.
