(TargetLiberty.org) – On Tuesday, President Biden mocked former President Donald Trump for the comment he had made during the start of the pandemic when he had suggested that Americans should inject bleach to kill the virus.

Biden shared the video of Trump having infamously said four years earlier that he was seeing how effective disinfectant had been in killing the virus within minutes. He had then questioned if there was an option to do something like that but by injection, which would be kind of like a “cleaning.”

In his post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Biden stated that people should not be injecting bleach nor should they be voting for the person who had suggested that they do that.

President Biden and Trump are expected to face each other in the November 2024 presidential election. This is not the first time that Biden has brought up the comments made by Trump regarding bleach. Last week in a campaign event he had asked people if they remembered the time that Trump had suggested injecting bleach.

In April 2020 following Trump’s remarks he faced a lot of scrutiny and pushback from the medical community. Trump had also claimed that medical experts should study whether disinfectant or light could be used to kill the disease.

Then-White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany had claimed that the media had taken Trump’s comment out of context. She had also noted that Trump had repeatedly told Americans that before making decisions about treating the coronavirus disease they should consult their medical doctors.
