(TargetLiberty.org) – On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump, who is the presumptive Republican nominee for 2024, commented on Republican National Committee former chair Ronna McDaniel quickly exiting NBC after it was announced that she would be joining the network.

NBC announced McDaniel’s hiring and had her appear on “Meet the Press” on Sunday. However, McCarthy had only managed to last four days and only made one appearance during her time as an on-air political contributor. After the announcement that she was hired to bring in the conservative viewpoint and the backlash the network received for this decision, On Tuesday night NBCUniversal News Group Chair Cesar Conde conceded to parting ways with McDaniel.

Prior to joining NBC News, McDaniel had been the chair of the RNC until her resignation earlier this month.

Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to state that McDaniel had only lasted two days at “Fake News NBC.” As he pointed out this was after McDaniel had tried during her appearance to say things the way the network would want her to say them. He continued by noting that this left her in “NEVER NEVERLAND” which is a complicated place and not one people wanted to be in.

Trump then focused his attention on the network. He blasted NBC claiming that they are “crazy” and that NBC leadership is “weak.” He then called for a return to the free press.

It was reported that Axios was looking into her legal options after NBC terminated her contract which would have provided her with a $300,000 payment each year.
