(TargetLiberty.org) – On Wednesday President Biden’s reelection campaign released a new 30-second ad that directly attacked former President Donald Trump. The ad is focused on Michigan voters and was released ahead of Trump’s planned visit to Detroit.
Only a day earlier Biden had participated in the autoworkers picket line in Michigan. The ad is going to be broadcast on national cable channels, TV, and digital boards. The $25 million ad campaign which was so far been battled in the U.S. is part of Biden’s reelection campaign for the next 16 weeks.
The ad called “Delivers” is an attempt to slam Trump on his tax policies which the Biden campaign has claimed are giving money away to the rich. They further blast Trump over his previous promises that he would be restoring U.S. jobs which he never managed to do. The ad’s narrator specifically stated that while Trump is claiming to support autoworkers, he had previously passed tax breaks that benefited the rich, while automakers were experiencing problems with their plans, and manufacturing jobs in Michigan were being reduced.
On Tuesday, Biden joined the picket by the United Auto Workers against the Big Three automakers. This is the first time that a sitting president has taken such an action.
Trump on the other hand is planning on delivering a speech in Michigan at nonunion manufacturer Drake Enterprises in support of the strike.
Michigan had gone to Trump in the 2016 presidential election, however, in 2020 Trump had lost the state to President Biden. It is important for Biden to continue having a hold in the state for the upcoming presidential election.
