(TargetLiberty.org) – So far most of the attention in the 2024 GOP primary has been on former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has not yet announced his presidential bid. This was something that Vivek Ramaswamy pointed out during his Newsmax interview on Monday, stating that some of the polls have even shown him following right behind Trump and DeSantis.

In the interview with “Eric Bolling the Balance,” Ramaswamy said that he was happy with how his campaign had been going too far and that his campaign currently is exactly where Trump’s campaign had been when he had descended that escalator in June of 2015. He added that he was recently in Iowa and he could tell that Republicans were looking for a possible outsider who would be able to succeed in the White House and get the “job done.”

He added that to “dismantle the administrative state, the managerial bureaucracy that actually runs the show today,” you need to bring someone in that was not “a product of that same political system.”

Ramaswamy, a 37-year-old multimillionaire biotech engineer from Ohio, has openly spoken up against “woke” corporations and has previously claimed that the race for the Republican nomination is a two-horse race between himself and Trump. Ramaswamy also claimed that DeSantis was not an outsider but rather a “professional politician.”

He has previously stated that he was going to take his agenda even further than Trump had but had praised Trump’s agenda for being founded on strong morals.
