(TargetLiberty.org) – On Friday, Jonathan Turley, a law professor at George Washington University stated that he was skeptical about the possibility of New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) managing to successfully take control of the properties of former President Donald Trump’s assets and properties.

James in recent judgments filed against Trump in Westchester County, New York where Trump’s Seven Springs private estate and Golf club properties are. Still, Turley has argued that seizing control of these properties could be more complicated than what James might expect.

As Turley noted Trump’s properties are partnerships with leveraged debts which would make it very complex for these properties to be seized. As he pointed out this is not a Trump against James type of situation. He further pointed out that the property seizure would most likely require court challenges and battles which is why it is unlikely that it would happen overnight. However, he did dismiss the possibility of Trump Tower being padlocked.

Turley also pointed out the possible harmful concerns related to the actions taken by James and how they could harm the value of the properties that she is planning to seize. He proceeded to acknowledge that this issue could potentially not matter to James but still that a court would take such impacts into consideration.

On Monday, Trump’s legal team disclosed that they were having a hard time securing a bond for over $450 million which would help cover the civil fraud case judgment by Judge Arthur Engoron.
