(TargetLiberty.org) – President Biden’s campaign is increasing its efforts in order to draw in the supporters of former GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley.

Critics of the former President have noted that Haley had managed to win 40 percent of the vote in South Carolina and that she had cracked part of the Republican base. The Biden campaign has put out a number of ads targeting those voters, despite it not being yet clear whether President Biden is going to be able to flip the majority of those supporters.

Still, there are those in the GOP who have argued that it is possible that Haley’s supporters could be convinced to not vote in this election. South Carolina-based Republican strategist Dave Wilson argued that right now the move by the Biden campaign to court those voters was smart. He continued by noting that the real question would be whether they would manage to get those people to switch parties.

As soon as Haley announced that she was withdrawing from the presidential race, the Biden campaign activated its strategy to try and bring her supporters over to their camp. Last month in a statement released by Biden he had pointed out that Trump had explicitly stated that he did not want Haley’s supporters. He added that those people had a place in the Biden campaign.

Last week, the Biden campaign also put out a 30-second ad that featured many clips of Trump slamming Haley during the primary. The ad also had a warning that those who had supported Haley were not wanted by the Trump campaign.
