(TargetLiberty.org) – The House Republican campaign arm leader Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.) has been pushing all of his colleagues to embrace Donald Trump as the 2024 presidential candidate for the party. The former president is currently the 2024 presumptive Republican nominee as he is aiming to win back the Oval Office.

On Thursday Hudson had told Politico that he had been one of the people that had given Trump his endorsement and that he was proud to be running with the former President. He argued that Trump was a net positive for everyone which is why he encouraged everyone that asked him to embrace Trump as the 2024 nominee. He added that Trump was incredibly popular across the country and that he was leading the race in all battleground states.

His remarks were specifically focused on the House GOP lawmakers who are currently running in battleground districts to assist with their performance.

Hudson, who also serves as the chair of the House Republican Congressional Committee stated that he was confident that the GOP would be able to retain its control over the lower chamber. He added that there were four seats that he was looking at which he believed would be easily flipped. The seats in question are all held by Democratic lawmakers who have already announced that they would be exiting the lower chamber.

Hudson proceeded to argue that one of the key things that GOP lawmakers can do relates to the way that they talk about abortions, especially as in the past the Democrats had led campaigns pushing what they thought the Republicans believed on the topic.
