(TargetLiberty.org) – Former President Donald Trump during his Saturday campaign rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan slammed the Democrats and their campaign that tries to link his platform to Project 25, which he referred to as “extremist.”
Trump while going off script argued that the other side was attempting to make him appear to be an extremist, which he is not. He continued by arguing that he was someone who had a lot of common sense and was “not” extremist. Trump’s campaign rally speech was aired live on Newsmax2 and Newsmax.
He proceeded to argue that Project 25 had been the brainchild of some people on the severe right and that he did not even know them. He added that he knew who these people are that they are very conservative and that they are a type of opposite to the radical left.
The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank had put out Project 2025 which was meant to act as a platform for the GOP prior to the Republican National Convention. However, Trump has repeatedly spoken up against the plan and has argued that this is an extreme plan that his campaign did not have any involvement with. He argued that there were the radical left and radical right who were coming up with these things and that he did not even know what Project 2025 was.
Trump argued that when they read some of the plans for Project 2025 they were “seriously extreme” and he did not know anything about the plan. However, the Democrats have been on a disinformation and misinformation campaign trying to link him to it.
