( – Former President Donald Trump, who is the presumptive Republican nominee in the 2024 presidential race, took to his social media platform Truth Social to congratulate Bryson DeChambeau on his second golf U.S. Open victory.

In his post, he congratulated DeChambeau and praised him for having shown inner strength and talent in his “incredible” U.S. Open win. He added that there had been a lot of pressure on him and yet he managed to pull off an incredible shot while also managing a great save on the 18th Hole. These shots allowed him to win the game.

Trump, who wrote an extensive post praising DeChambeau, argued that the man would go on to have many more wins in Major Championships and that he was a “tough competitor.” He added that he was also a “great guy.”

On Sunday DeChambeau won in the U.S. Open for the second time, managing to gain the lead from Rory McIlroy, who had been leading by one stroke before the 16th hole where he missed a par putt.

The two men had been tied on the 18th hole but McIlroy ended up missing a par attempt from 3 feet. However, DeChambeau in his own turn managed a great shot from the bunker to around 4 feet of the hole. A par putt then allowed him to come out on top and win the title.

Trump, who is a big fan of golf, had previously offered DeChambeau his congratulations after signing with LIV Golf.
