(TargetLiberty.org) – Trump could reveal who his running mate will be by next Monday.
Speaking on “Fox & Friends,” Jason Miller, a senior advisor to former President Donald Trump, revealed the former President could make the announcement “any time this week.”
In his Monday appearance on the show, Miller stated, “By this time next Monday,” everyone will know who Trump had selected to be his running mate in the 2024 election.
Miller revealed that Trump could make the announcement anytime in the coming week, including “literally right up until the first day” of the Republican National Convention, which kick-starts on Monday, July 15.
Although Miller didn’t reveal any of Trump’s top pics, he noted the former President had considered individuals beyond the speculated list of top picks, including Senator J.D. Vance (Ohio), Senator Marco Rubio (Florida), and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum.
In June, Trump revealed he had decided who he’d select as his running mate but would only announce it “Right around the convention,” possibly “a little before.”
According to reports by ABC News, a plane has already been prepared for Trump’s running mate and is currently waiting in an airport hangar. The pick will also attend a fundraising event in Milwaukee during the RNC.
However, those speculated to be among Trump’s top picks still haven’t been informed.
In an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Vance revealed he hadn’t “gotten the call,” but would “let the media know” if he ever got the call.
Rubio made similar remarks on CNN’s “State of the Union,” declaring he’d “heard nothing,” and that the media probably knew more than him about Trump’s choice.
Rubio added Trump would “make it when he needs to make it,” expressing certainty he’d “make a good decision.”
