(TargetLiberty.org) – On Sunday, a voters PAC that had previously supported the presidential campaign of Republican candidate Nikki Haley announced their support for Vice President Kamala Harris who is considered to be the shoe-in nomination in the Democratic race. The announcement came after President Joe Biden’s statement on the same day that he was dropping out of the presidential race and endorsing Harris to take over from him.
Biden put out a letter on Sunday in which he announced that he would no longer be seeking reelection in 2024 and added that he would be supporting Harris as the next presidential candidate. This decision comes only weeks after many members of the Democratic Party started to put pressure on Biden to get him to step aside and allow someone else to take over after his weak performance at the presidential debate late last month.
The political action committee (PAC), which had been known as Haley Voters for Biden, has now switched its name in support of Harris. While the PAC is not affiliated with the Nikki Haley for President or Stand for America PAC, they did provide an additional clarification on the social media platform X where they pointed out that they are not the Nikki Haley affiliated PAC, as that was Stand for America.
They further pointed out that as a PAC they had spent $1 million in support of Haley and had rallied thousands of voters to support her candidacy as they viewed her as the best option for the country. They noted that now their support is for Kamala Harris.
