(TargetLiberty.org) – The White House has finally confirmed Biden saw a neurologist on January 17 as part of his physical.
On Tuesday, the White House confirmed President Joe Biden saw a neurologist at the White House on January 17 of this year. The meeting was part of a neurological exam reported as part of his annual physical in February.
The controversy around whether or not Biden had seen Dr. Kevin Cannard, a neurologist specializing in Parkinson’s, stemmed from White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s response to a question from the Associated Press.
Jean-Pierre denied the meeting on January 17 was related to Bden’s care after the AP asked if the meeting reported on the White House visitors’ logs as being between Cannard and Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Conner, had been about the President.
It was the only meeting Cannard had with O’Connor in the eight months ending in March 2024, which saw Cannard visiting the White House eight times.
Jean-Pierre blamed the lack of dates for being unable to answer correctly about the January 17 meeting, confirming on Tuesday that the meeting was “one of the three times the President” saw Cannard for his physical, adding that the “findings from each exam” had been made public.
Since Biden’s dismal debate performance, the White House has faced a slew of questions about Biden’s health.
Last week, Jean-Pierre suggested the President had not been “checked out by the doctor,” despite the White House stating Biden was suffering from a cold during the June 27 debate.
She later had to walk back those statements, confirming Biden hadn’t received a complete medical exam but had conducted a “check-in,” which is carried out a few times a week.
O’Connor also released a statement on Monday night, confirming that Cannard was the neurologist examining Biden in three physicals during his presidency after Jean-Pierre had refused to confirm Cannard’s name or why he had visited the White House.
