(TargetLiberty.org) –On Saturday, Biden’s 2024 presidential campaign put out a new ad that highlighted the work of the administration to prevent gun violence after the Supreme Court had opted to invalidate the prohibition during the Trump-era on bump stocks.
The ad, which was shared with The Hill, spends 30 seconds in which it targets former President Donald Trump for the decision that the conservative-leaning court had made on Friday. The Biden administration had previously defended the regulation which put a ban on devices that converted semi-automatic firearms to weapons that could fire hundreds of rounds each minute. The Trump administration first implemented the ban following the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting.
In the ad, Biden who slams Trump argues that during Trump’s time in the Oval Office, there had been children who died in schools, individuals who were killed in churches, and people massacred during concerts, and still the former President had not done anything, and instead had selected to side with the National Rifle Association.
However, he proceeded to tout the efforts of his own administration to further expand background checks and establish the Office of Gun Violence Prevention. As he pointed out, Americans and their families deserve to feel safe and he would continue to fight in order to help ensure that they would be.
During the ad, he also points out that during his administration murder rates have dropped by around 20 percent in over 200 U.S. cities. This is why he advocates that he is the only candidate for those who want to see more gun control.
