Worried Americans Want Their 2A Rights

(TargetLiberty.org) – It’s now been over two months since the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, but unrest and violence are still simmering across the nation. With the police in many cities hamstrung by Liberal mayors and unable to control the situation, many Americans are realizing that if they need protection, they’re going to have to take care of it themselves.

By the start of June this year, more than 2.5 million Americans had bought their first guns. A spokesman for the National Shooting Sports Foundation said, so far, 2020 has been “unlike any other year” for gun sales, including record numbers of first-time buyers. There’s no sign of the trend slowing either – FBI figures show that June saw the highest ever number of background checks, with July’s numbers already in third place. Overall, requests for checks are up around 50% on last year.

New Second Amendment enthusiasts are finding it hard to actually get a gun. Many stores are sold out of popular weapons – especially handguns – and have backorder lists that can run into the thousands. They’re determined to exercise their right to self-defense, though – and that means millions more voters opposed to future gun control laws.
