(TargetLiberty.org) – The World Health Organization (WHO) learned that protecting the Communist regime in China and putting millions of human lives at risk for political expediency comes with a cost. President Donald Trump announced an investigation into the organization and in the meantime, halted America’s financial contributions.

There’s little question China deliberately misled the world on the dangers of COVID-19, including the human-to-human transmission of the virus. As of April 14, 2020, there are roughly 2,000,000 people worldwide, including over 600,000 Americans who have firsthand experience with that whopper of a lie.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus blithely went along and simply repeated the party line coming out of Beijing. He heaped praise upon the country that essentially got him his position in 2017. Whether or not he has a China bias is still an open question, but Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) are troubled enough to have voiced public concerns.
Of course, some Progressive Liberals in the media and Hollywood couldn’t resist bashing the president over this decision, but that’s par for the course. The important thing is decisive action was taken to hold the WHO and its leader responsible for their actions.
