(TargetLiberty.org) -On Tuesday the White House said that the three objects that were shot down by the U.S. military over the past weekend did not appear to be connected to the Chinese spy program. They further noted that there were problems with the recovery of the debris due to the weather conditions.
National Security spokesman John Kirby said that there was no definite way of determining what the objects were or who they came from without analyzing the debris. He added that currently there was no indication that the three objects were part of China’s spy balloon program.
Kirby further noted that due to the rough conditions, there was also the possibility that the debris might not be recovered at all. He added that they were currently “taking this day by day” and were doing everything possible in order to locate where the debris was and possibly recover it.
On Monday, Kirby stated that they did not yet know if the objects had any surveillance capabilities. The three objects were shot down almost one week after the U.S. military shot down a Chinese surveillance balloon off the coast of South Carolina.
The first of the object was shot down off of Alaska on Friday, the second one was shot over Canada under the direction of Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau and the third was brought down on Sunday over Lake Huron.
