(TargetLiberty.org) – Following Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ disastrous presidential announcement on Wednesday, two New Hampshire state representatives have switched and are now supporting former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race.
On Thursday, Trump’s office released a statement in which state Representative Sandra Panek spoke about her decision to no longer support DeSantis in favor of Trump. In her announcement referred to DeSantis’ announcement on Twitter Spaces which resulted in the platform crashing several times.
As she pointed out she was “less than impressed” by the announcement which was why she was switching her support to Trump. She added that it is not reasonable to expect that someone will be able to run the country if they are not able to run their campaign successfully. Finally, she stated that the stakes are too high in 2024 and that they cannot depend on “someone as unreliable as DeSantis” and instead they needed a “proven winner” in order to win back the White House.
On Wednesday, state Representative Juliet Harvey-Bolia also took to Twitter to state that she was retracting her “dual endorsement” and that she was now only endorsing Trump for the White House.
DeSantis has faced a lot of criticism for his campaign announcement on Twitter Spaces with Elon Musk and David Sacks. During the live stream, there were technical issues that led to the stream crashing multiple times and the audio cutting out repetitively. Sacks, the co-founder of Craft Ventures, has claimed however that this was a “good sign” as it showed how high the volume of people who wanted to watch the announcement was.
