(TargetLiberty.org) – A new video posted on social media shows the moment a vehicle drove into a crowd of Palestinian supporters at a rally in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

On Sunday after 3:20 p.m., the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) had to respond to reports about disturbances in the Loring Park neighborhood where the demonstration was being held. Aaron Rose, the MPD spokesperson stated in an email to Newsweek that there have been many witnesses who have reported that a vehicle drove through the crowd. According to one caller, there was also a gunshot sound, however, at this time, there were no reported victims or people that had gotten injured during the demonstration.

Rose added that the police department was currently in the process of a follow-up investigation and added that as of Sunday night, there were no arrests that had been made. Rose added that at this time he could not confirm whether the road that the incident had taken place had been closed off during the protest.

On Sunday afternoon around 5,000 people gathered in support of Palestinians in Gaza in Minneapolis. The organizers of the rally had also released a statement calling for Israel to stop bombing Gaza. The rally was organized by the Minnesota Anti-War Committee, the Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Minnesota, and the American Muslims for Palestine Minnesota chapter.

Those who attended the rally held a “die-in” which is a form of protest that requires attendees to lie on the ground as if dead to showcase the severity of the “ethnic cleansing” currently occurring in the Gaza Strip.
