(TargetLiberty.org) – On Friday former President Donald Trump released a new advertisement on Truth Social only hours after the Department of Justice filed new charges against him in the case relating to his mishandling of classified documents after leaving the White House in 2021.
In the ad, Republicans can be seen questioning the double standards being followed by the Justice Department as they are persecuting Trump but are ignoring all the accusations about President Joe Biden and his family’s business activities.
The ad stated that Biden was acting like a “corrupt Third-World Dictator” pointing out that he had weaponized government bureaucrats who he was using to attack his biggest political opponents. It then once again reiterated that the charges against Trump were part of the biggest “witch hunt” in U.S. history.
However, the ad proceeds to note that Biden is underestimating how smart U.S. voters are, and that this was why support for Trump was growing, as people were fighting to help “make America great again.” While the ads narrator is speaking, a recent image from a Harvard-Harris survey is shown where Trump appears to be in the lead in a hypothetical matchup against Biden, winning by 5 percentage points.
A different image is also shown where it is seen that Trump is the frontrunner in the Republican primary race against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The ad came only after special counsel Jack Smith added three new counts in the charges against Donald Trump relating to his mishandling of classified documents which were recovered from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
