(TargetLiberty.org) – American troops were injured during the recent Iranian missile strike on a US military base in Iraq. In response, US defense officials announced on Tuesday that additional US troops have been flown to Germany for treatment of those injuries. According to reports, all of those who’ve been flown to medical facilities are experiencing symptoms common with having a concussion.
US Central Command spokesman, Navy Captain Bill Urban released a statement, saying “Given the nature of injuries already noted, it is possible additional injuries may be identified in the future.” Earlier last week, 11 service members were flown to Germany and Kuwait for injuries sustained in the attack.
President Trump spoke about the injured troops while holding a press conference in Switzerland. He stated that he didn’t consider the injuries to be that bad, adding:
“I’ve seen what Iran has done with their roadside bombs to our troops… I’ve seen people that were horribly, horribly injured in that area, in that war.”
