(TargetLiberty.org) – Social media giant Twitter has shut down a whistleblowing account after it claimed White House medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci lied about US government involvement in dangerous coronavirus research.
On January 10, investigative journalism group Project Veritas released military papers it claims prove EcoHealth Alliance – which is funded by the federal government – asked the Defense Advanced Projects Research Agency (DARPA) for funding for coronavirus gain-of-function (GoF) research in 2018.
DARPA judged the research was too dangerous and refused permission. EcoHealth then teamed up with the Wuhan Institute of Virology to do the experiments. Dr. Fauci has repeatedly claimed under oath the US government was not involved in any GoF research on novel coronaviruses. However, the newly released military documents allegedly contradict his testimony.
THEY CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH: Twitter Bans Project Veritas Comms Director for Sharing Fauci Report https://t.co/sFdAXXlbjA

Twitter banned Project Veritas in February 2021, but that weekend, the group set up a new account, @ExposeFauci, to discuss its latest findings. On January 11, Twitter blocked it, too. They also suspended the account of Eric Spracklen, Project Veritas’ communications director.
Whether or not Fauci really did lie about government funding of dangerous research is a legitimate subject for discussion. It seems Twitter doesn’t want it discussed. Is it healthy for a private company to have the power to decide what political issues are open for discussion, or to silence journalists with whom it disagrees?
