(TargetLiberty.org) – On Thursday, former President Trump became the first U.S. President, either sitting or former, to have had his mugshot taken. On Friday, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum announced the pre-sale of a special edition bobblehead that was based on Trump’s mug shot where his face is scowling. The base of the bobblehead also features Trump’s name. In the mugshot Trump is unsmiling and his jaw is clenched while his brows are furrowed, as they pointed out in their announcement.

Trump had turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia a day earlier following his recent indictment by a state grand jury on 13 charges connected to his attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. All 19 defendants in this case were given until Friday noon to surrender to the jail.

The mug shots for each of the defendants were released after their booking.

In an interview later that day Trump had told Fox Digital that they had “insisted on a mug shot” which is why he had agreed. He added that he had never before had his mug shot taken and that it had been a very uncomfortable feeling, especially considering he had not done anything wrong.

The mug shot has gained a lot of attention online, and the museum decided to capitalize on the appeal by commemorating the incident.

Phil Sklar, the CEO and co-founder of the National Bobblehead Hall Of Fame noted that regardless of which side you are on, the historic mugshot deserved to be commemorated with a bobblehead as it was one of the most iconic images.
