Trump Supporter Files Lawsuit Against New York

( – Conservatives have been very concerned about censorship over the last few years, and for good reason. Woke America tries to censor and “cancel” them all the time. Now, it turns out that a man in New York has sued his town for allegedly silencing him.

In May, Michael Wasserman sued the City of Long Beach, the police chief, police officers who’d had dealings with him and the city manager after they forced him to remove political stickers and flags from his cars. He is seeking $25 million. In an article published on June 19, he told the New York Post he thinks the city is attempting to silence him because he supports former President Donald Trump.

Wasserman says the police have been to his home multiple times since March because his Liberal neighbors have complained about his political speech. The town argues the stickers and flags are a violation of a town ordinance that prohibits signs from being “erected, affixed or maintained within the perimeter of any…public street or public property.” Wasserman says he’s standing up for his constitutional rights and the town is trying to cancel him for that.

The First Amendment of the Constitution is supposed to keep the government (in this case the town) from passing laws that prohibit speech (the stickers and flags). If city governments are passing laws that infringe on that, isn’t that a violation of free speech?
