( – Following the recent decision of the United States Supreme Court in the case relating to former President Donald Trump and his ability to participate in primary ballots, Trump has been pushing for the Court to now answer whether or not the president needed to be granted complete immunity.

On Monday, while at his Mar-a-Lago estate, Trump started by praising the Supreme Court for its decision regarding the 14th Amendment which he claimed was “unifying.” Trump then proceeded to push the focus of the Supreme Court in a different direction pointing out that he is currently being accused of having attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

Last week SCOTUS had announced that they would be hearing a case following the decision made by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District Circuit of Columbia Circuit which had determined last month that Trump’s immunity claims did not stand. That was a 3-0 decision by the court.

Trump stated following the latest decision that he was hoping that the justices were going to be looking into other cases, especially the case regarding whether or not the president needed to be given complete immunity. He added that if the presidents were to be allowed to complete their job in the way that the founders had intended then they would need full immunity. He added that most importantly without total immunity the effects would be devastating for the country.

The Court of Appeals has so far ruled that the attempts made by the former President had not been in connection to his office and that instead, he was just trying to find a way to continue serving in the White House after the 2020 election.
