(TargetLiberty.org) – On Tuesday, Trump criticized, Kayleigh McEnany, his previous press secretary for having provided the incorrect poll numbers when she appeared on Fox News.
Taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump slammed McEnany calling her “Kayleigh ‘Milktoast’ McEnany” and claiming that she had provided the inaccurate poll numbers and that he was 34 points above Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and not 25 points up. He proceeded to state that the number had been amended by the group that conducted the poll to show the correct difference between him and DeSantis.
In his comments, he added that McEnany had been aware of the correct numbers and that Globalists and RINOS can have her and that Fox News needed to “only use REAL Stars!!!”
McEnany, who is a co-host of Fox News’s “Outnumbered,” had told Jesse Waters on Tuesday night that it appeared that DeSantis was “closing the gap” in the polls following his formal campaign launch for the 2024 presidential election.
The poll that McEnany and Trump were referring to is not entirely clear. However, a recent survey from Emerson College Polling showed that the former President was leading in Iowa by 42 points. On Tuesday, DeSantis started his four-day campaign tour by trying to gather support outside of Des Moines. He is also going to be traveling to Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina as part of his campaign tour. Trump is also going to be visiting the Hawkeye State for his own events this week.
