(TargetLiberty.org) – Many Republicans are hoping to have Trump back in the White House in January 2025, but senators might not have to wait that long to hear the name again. The former president’s daughter-in-law is the favorite candidate in an upcoming Senate race – and she hasn’t even formally entered it yet.
She would be great! https://t.co/IwDZokftc6

A poll released on April 13 shows Lara Trump taking a solid lead among Republican candidates to replace Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) when he retires next year. With 8 names in the race, so far she has 32.4% support – miles ahead of the second-place runner, NC Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson (R), who’s lagging badly on 20.1%. Nobody else is even breaking the 15% mark.
Lara, who married Eric Trump in 2014, hasn’t confirmed if she’ll run for Burr’s seat. If she decides to, it’s possible many of the other candidates will immediately drop out rather than waste money on an unwinnable campaign.
