(TargetLiberty.org) – Former President Donald Trump struck out at liberal tech giants on Wednesday, following criticism of Facebook by its own oversight board for the indefinite suspension it slapped on his account in January.
In a statement released on May 5, Trump branded the behavior of Facebook, Twitter and Google as a “total disgrace,” saying their open-ended suspensions of his accounts are a violation of free speech. He went on to call for a “political price” to be imposed on them, and for their power to interfere in the electoral process to be ended.
“What Facebook, Twitter, and Google have done is a total disgrace,” Trump said.

While Facebook’s Oversight Board upheld the company’s suspension of Trump’s account following the January 6 Capitol riot, it also slammed administrators for making it indefinite, saying it was “not appropriate” and labeling it a “standardless penalty.” Facebook has now been given six months to review Trump’s account and either permanently ban it or give the former president back his online voice.
