( – Former President Donald Trump announced his presidential campaign for 2024 in November 2022, and recently his campaign has gained a lot of traction. Last Tuesday, Trump was arraigned in New York City in connection to charges made against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg who has been leading the investigations into his alleged 2016 hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence regarding their alleged affair. Of those asked 52 percent also stated that they believe the charges were something serious, marking a 2 percentage points increase since last year, and 39 percent said that they did not believe the indictment was serious.

Forty-five percent of Americans also believe that Trump should be charged with a crime, marking a five percent increase from last week’s poll, while 32 percent believe that he should not face any charges.
