( – Former President Donald Trump’s legal team filed a motion on Tuesday stating that they are going to be disputing the claims made by prosecutors about Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate not being secure.

In the wide-ranging court filing, the defense team had argued that they would be seeking communication between President Joe Biden’s associates and the Justice Department to advance their claims about the case regarding the mishandling of classified documents against Trump being created as a way to hurt Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.

In the brief, they specifically request a judge to compel special counsel Jack Smith’s team to provide access to certain information. With this document, they have shed some light on the potential lines of defense they might employ against the prosecution as Trump tries to win back the White House. The document offers several political arguments as well as a legal assessment, pointing out that Trump won in the Iowa caucuses by a historic margin, and at the same time decried the charges dealing with “partisan election interference.”

The former president’s lawyer also appeared to be planning to appeal to voters during the presidential campaign and to the judge presiding over the case.

Trump’s lawyers further wrote that the Special Counsel’s Office had failed to complete their basic discovery obligation in an attempt to back the Biden administration’s weaponizing the justice system in order to block former President Donald Trump from winning the 2024 presidential election.
