(TargetLiberty.org) – Former adviser to former President Donald Trump, Steve Bannon stated on Tuesday that he wanted House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R) to resemble Rep. Nancy Pelosi, his predecessor.
On Tuesday during one of the episodes of his War Room podcasts Bannon stated that McCarthy has so far been an “unmitigated disaster.” He added that while everyone hates everything about Nancy Pelosi including her voice, name, and her, she was a “stone-cold killer.” He added that if they were able to take some of Pelosi’s testosterone and inject it into McCarthy for 72 hours then they might be able to stop them from going on a “six-week boondoggle.”
Conservatives and the more right-wing part of his Republican conference have been strongly against McCarthy being the House Speaker from the start. Since then, many Republicans have criticized him heavily over the way he was performing his job. Bannon specifically targeted McCarthy on the debt limit deal he had agreed on with President Joe Biden which she claimed had been a “total surrender.”
Pelosi, who has been heavily criticized by the Republicans, served as the House speaker on two different occasions. First from 2007 to 2011 and a second time from 2019 to 2023. Many consider her to be one of the most effective speakers in the country’s history, while in 2018 former President Barack Obama claimed that Pelosi was “one of the most effective legislative leaders” in U.S. history. He also praised her ability to stand up for her beliefs and the things she might consider hard to do.
