(TargetLiberty.org) – James Carville, a top Democratic Party strategist has alleged that several “leading Democrats” have been pushing for him to stop discussing the difficulties in President Biden winning the 2024 presidential election.
The Atlantic during a recent interview with Carville discussed the new presidential bid launched by Rep. Dean Phillips’, D-Minn., against President Biden in the Democratic primary race. The outlet also discussed with the Democratic strategist his belief that Biden would have a hard time in the race for re-election.
The strategist specifically stated that the numbers from the polls were “not good” for Biden and that many Democrats were trying to get him to no longer discuss this. He added that they were not trying to shut him up about talking about these issues because he was wrong about what he was saying, but rather because they considered the facts he was presenting upsetting.
He added that every time he has told top Democrats that Biden was in trouble with his re-election campaign none of them had expressed disagreement, but that they keep this opinion to themselves. Instead of telling him that he is wrong, they will usually just tell him that this is not something he can say.
Carville further revealed to the outlet that after looking at all the polling data, Biden’s current poll ratings were “not good” and they did not appear to be improving.
Regarding Phillips’ campaign, Carville stated that everyone he has talked to has pointed out that there is no option other than Biden, and proceeded to question whether that meant that the country had made its decision.
