(TargetLiberty.org) – On Saturday, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) appeared on MSNBC’s “The Katie Phang Show” where he went after former President Donald Trump and his legal troubles.
During his appearance, Swalwell discussed Trump and President Biden who are the two most likely nominees for their respective parties in the upcoming presidential race. As he argued he would prefer to support a guy who was over the age of 81 instead of someone who was facing 91 felony counts. He continued by claiming that the upcoming presidential election was not about two individuals but that instead, it was actually about chaos or competence, and freedom or fascism. He added that if the race was made to be about these ideas and their meaning in people’s everyday lives then they would be able to win the race.
These remarks came only a day after a New York judge ordered Trump to pay close to $355 million in penalties in a civil fraud case. Trump was accused of having inflated and deflated the value of his assets to receive access to more beneficial business deals.
Biden has also been dealing with increased criticisms regarding his age following the release of the report from special counsel Robert Hur who claimed that Biden was an old man who was experiencing problems with his memories. This was also presented as one of the reasons why he would not seek charges against Biden for having mishandled classified documents.
According to a recent poll, the majority of Americans are concerned about Biden’s advanced age, with 86 percent arguing that he is “too old” to serve in the White House.
