(TargetLiberty.org) – The parents of a high school student in Washington state say their son was kicked out of an online class — held over Zoom — because the teacher didn’t like a pro-Trump flag he was displaying in his own bedroom. The parents and student want to stay anonymous, probably from fear of left-wing reprisals, but it’s known the student attends Southridge High School in Kennewick, WA.
According to local CBS affiliate KEPR, the teacher sent the student a text message asking him to take down the flag, which read, “Trump 2020 No More Bullsh*t.” When he didn’t comply with the message – which he says he didn’t see – the teacher ejected him from the lesson without warning.

While the boy’s parents agree the flag included inappropriate language, they drew the line at the teacher telling him what he was allowed to have in his own bedroom. They told KEPR, “It’s an unfortunate situation. If they were in school this would not have happened.” More to the point, if teachers kept politics out of the classroom – even the virtual classroom – it wouldn’t have happened.
