Steve Bannon praised Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Saturday for his decision to move further towards “the right” of Donald Trump after he recently spoke about some of his frustrations regarding Trump.

DeSantis is currently considered one of the few members in the GOP who could potentially beat Trump for the 2024 Republican presidential primary. Still, DeSantis has not formally announced that he will be running in the 2024 presidential election. Despite this, many polls have shown that DeSantis has gained a lead against Trump among conservative voters, which shows that DeSantis is slowly gaining the support of Trump’s base.

In recent weeks Trump has had to face a number of controversies that ranged from his support for candidates that lost key races in the midterm elections, to hosting a dinner with white nationalist Nick Fuentes and even calling for the termination of the U.S. Constitution.

This has led a number of supporters to turn away from Trump and even criticize him.

Earlier this month Bannon also called Trump out for not using his position to push for the priorities that would benefit conservative voters which include amnesty and a massive spending bill that would help keep the government open. Instead of all this though, Trump chose to announce a $99 NFT digital trading card of himself.
