States Urge Biden to Support Energy Infrastructure Amid Colonial Pipeline Challenges

(TargetLiberty.org) – With the East Coast still struggling to recover from gas shortages after the May 7 Colonial Pipeline shutdown, a group of states is urging President Biden to back down on his disastrous green energy policies before it’s too late.

On May 17, President Biden received a letter from Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen and 18 other state AGs. It asks him to reverse course on his environmental agenda and build a more robust energy network – including reinstating the Keystone XL pipeline.

Biden revoked approval for Keystone XL hours after taking office, saying his administration would focus on “clean energy” instead. However, his dream of an oil-free economy powered by windmills and solar panels is decades away, if it can even be achieved at all – and the US is facing an energy supply crisis now.

“A temporary shutdown of one pipeline’s full-capacity operations shouldn’t bring half the country to the brink,” Knudsen wrote to Biden. He reminded the president that his block on Keystone XL is being challenged in court by multiple states and ignores scientific reality.

Perhaps one day, America will obtain the Utopian energy source. But in the meantime, Americans want practical energy, low prices and effective leadership. Sadly, it seems Biden can’t provide that combination.
