(TargetLiberty.org) – A radical Democrat lawmaker who wants the police defunded isn’t quite as casual when it comes to her own safety. The leftist is reportedly spending tens of thousands of dollars on protection even as she tries to take it away from everyone else.

On July 24, Fox News host Trey Gowdy slammed Representative Cori Bush (D-MO) for spending almost $70,000 on private security between April 15 and June 28 this year, according to records from the Federal Election Commission. That’s 40% more than the average American earns in a year – and Bush spent it on bodyguards in just 10 weeks. Piling hypocrisy on top of extravagance, she did it while loudly demanding police budgets be cut.
Bush, a member of the so-called “Squad” of socialist congresswomen, claims that police forces were created to “enable white supremacy,” which will come as a surprise to the vast majority of Americans who think they’re there to maintain law and order. In February, she condemned every cop in America on Twitter, ranting “It is not just a few bad apples. It’s a rotten tree.” In May, she voted against upgrades to Capitol security – while records suggest she spent a fortune on security for herself.
It seems she’s not willing to take the risks she thinks ordinary Americans, and even fellow legislators, should take in their daily lives.
