(TargetLiberty.org) – “Saturday Night Live” opened up by mocking several of the Republican senators who have backed former President Donald Trump following the South Carolina primary, which Trump won. He then pointed out that Trump has repeatedly insulted in the past the men who have been supporting him in his presidential campaign.

The cold open showcase included various characters including Sens. James Risch (R-Ida.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Tim Scott (R-S.C.), and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) who are seen at a mock victory party enjoying refreshments. The group is talking openly about their love for the former President despite any policy disagreements and personal conflicts they might have had in the past.

Mikey Day portraying Risch noted that he had to admit that sometimes he did not even know what his party was doing. He added that he has been pushing for funding for Ukraine for the last half a year and how it was essential to ensure the security of the country. However, as he proceeds to point out Trump had killed the deal with only one phone call as he did not care about the country. He then noted that he thought Trump was dangerous.

Marcello Hernandez, portraying Rubio, proceeded to ask him whether he endorsed Trump. In response, Risch retorted that of course, he had and that Trump was “incredible.”

The skit continues by sharing a number of the personal attacks that Trump had made against the U.S. senators with the group doubling down on how to back the former President.
