GOP “RINO” Calls For Trump’s Reinstatement!
(TargetLiberty.org) – Following billionaire Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, many people wondered whether banned Conservatives would have their accounts restored — specifically former President Donald Trump. According to Huffington Post, Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) stated Musk should reinstate the previous US leader’s banned Twitter account. Considering the Maine lawmaker is no fan of Trump and disagreed with many of his previous tweets, that’s saying something.
She said it’s ironic that “Russian government sites” are allowed on Twitter when Trump is not.
“I do think he should have his account back. To me, it’s ironic that we allow Russian government sites to be on Twitter but we don’t allow President Trump.”

All of the former leader’s social media accounts were previously banned following the Capitol attack on January 6, 2021. Ever since the incident and subsequent action, Republicans everywhere have been upset about the censorship and the infringement of social media bans affecting First Amendment rights. Since Musk is a big believer in free speech, Right-leaning citizens like Collins are calling for him to restore previously silenced voices.
Even if the new owner of Twitter decides to reinstate the former president’s account, Trump recently told Fox News he would not return to the platform. He has since started his own social media company, TRUTH Social, and plans to stay there instead.
So far, Musk has not indicated whether or not he will restore the former president’s account.
