(TargetLiberty.org) – Democratic Senators admitted that they were worried about how President Biden’s age and health could potentially affect their chances of winning the White House. Still, despite these concerns they avoid discussing these fears publicly as they maintain that there is no possible alternative for the Democratic nomination in 2024.

However, senators who have been spending time with the President have argued that his mental abilities remain sharp and that they have not witnessed a decline in his cognitive abilities. This is contradictory to the assessment made by special counsel Robert Hur regarding Biden in the release of his recent report.

Biden’s age is a topic that is avoided during the caucus meetings led by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), despite the fact that some Senators have privately admitted that this is a topic of concern as they head into the election. This is in part because many voters have shown doubt over whether or not Biden is able to perform in the White House.

One Democratic Senator, who opted to remain anonymous, argued that in all of the caucus lunches they have never discussed Biden’s age. They added that there has not been anyone who has brought this topic up as something they should potentially discuss or that could be an issue. They added that they had never heard anyone say that Schumer needed to address this topic with Biden.

However, they added that this lack of engagement in this conversation did not necessarily mean that they were not worried about it. As they pointed out they were worried about it, and about Biden’s ability, and they had concerns over the number of people who did not believe Biden was capable of handling the job.
