Sanders May Be a Democratic Frontrunner

New Democrat FRONTRUNNER On The Horizon?

(TargetLiberty.org) – Many Democrats are fed up with President Joe Biden, who they see as old, tired, and out of touch. So, as a possible replacement for 2024, almost half of them are looking at replacing him with someone even older and more out of touch. Yes, it’s almost time for Berniemania to break out again.

A new USA Today/IPSOS poll released on August 26 asked Americans how they rank 23 possible presidential candidates from both parties. Contenders included President Biden, former President Donald Trump, and possible runners like Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY). The poll turned up some interesting results, such as Trump and Biden having identical ratings (43% favorable, 52% unfavorable) and Klobuchar being the most popular Democrat among Republican voters, but one clear winner stood out — Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

Sanders, who has run for the Democratic nomination twice before despite not being a member of the party, scored a 46% approval rating. It’s not exactly overwhelming, but it’s better than anyone else managed. Sanders has pushed up the rankings by 80% approval from Democrats, but even among likely GOP voters, he was one of the highest scorers at 18%. Has Bernie’s time come around at last, or is this just another distraction?
