(TargetLiberty.org) – Reps. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Liz Cheney (R-WY) angered Republicans when they agreed to serve on the January 6 committee. Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is now leading a charge against the two lawmakers.
Earlier this month, McDaniel and RNC official David Bossie granted the Washington Post an interview to discuss a resolution to censure Kinzinger and Cheney. The chairwoman called the committee a “Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens who engaged in legitimate political discourse.” She accused the GOP lawmakers of not “sticking up for hard-working Americans” by engaging in the committee.

The censure goes after Democrats and President Joe Biden for trying to turn America into a socialist and lawless nation. It states Republicans can’t allow RINOs Cheney and Kinzinger to sabotage GOP efforts to win the congressional majorities back or to destroy former President Donald Trump.
On February 4, the RNC officially voted to censure the two lawmakers and pull all future support. The national party leadership is now facing significant backlash for the decision. Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) spoke out against it as did former RNC Chair Michael Steele and several other prominent members of the party, but they’re not deterred.
Do you agree with the RNC’s decision to censure the lawmakers?
