(TargetLiberty.org) – Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy who dropped out of the presidential race after he came in fourth in the Iowa caucuses has called for Republican candidates Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley to follow suit and drop out of the presidential race in 2024.

On Tuesday during an interview with Fox News anchor Jesse Watters, Ramaswamy argued that both of these candidates needed to drop out of the race and instead help ensure that everyone is focused on Trump becoming the party’s nominee while also reviving these ideals about restoring the country to its former state.

When Watters asked him specifically whether he was calling for DeSantis and Haley to exit the race, Ramaswamy argued that this is what he believed would be healthiest for the country.

However, despite these calls, neither Haley nor DeSantis has indicated that they have any intention of dropping out of the presidential race, despite coming third and second respectively in the Iowa caucuses.

Ramaswamy endorsed the former President as soon as he dropped out of the race and he will reportedly continue to campaign in favor of Trump.

Trump won the Iowa caucuses with 51 percent of the votes, while DeSantis had gained around 21 percent of support and Haley had 19 percent.

Many political pundits have stated that following Trump’s historic victory in Iowa, all other candidates needed to bow out of the race. Fox News’ Laura Ingraham even went as far as to describe Trump as being “too powerful” and stated that DeSantis did not have anything to “gain” from moving forward with his campaign.
