Price of Diesel Hits All-Time High, Puts Massive Strain on Trucking Industry

Truckers Crushed Under The Weight Of Biden’s Failures – Entire Industry In Trouble

(TargetLiberty.org) – The coronavirus pandemic and widespread lockdowns created enormous problems for the supply chain in the United States and around the world. On May 5, AAA released gas prices for May 5, showing diesel prices averaging over $5.47 per gallon, putting added pressure on an already struggling supply chain issue. Truckers across the country use this type of fuel to run their vehicles, and many are having trouble keeping up with the price hikes.

According to Representative Debbie Lesko (R-AZ), the 6% hike since April and the over $2 increase from May 2021 may result in even higher prices for everyday goods.

A Virginia trucker spoke to Fox News about the issue, stating people in his profession can’t “afford to drive” their trucks. Unfortunately, if it’s true, shipping goods from point A to point B will be extremely difficult and will affect the supply chain. If they’re able to transport goods, it may come at an inflated price. Both scenarios spell disaster for consumers in America.

One Tennessee trucker showed her gas receipt to Fox News, showing it cost her a whopping $999 to fill up her tank. Some are saying the rising gas prices are making it nearly impossible to make money to support their families.

How this will ultimately affect the supply chain until prices decrease remains to be seen.
