(TargetLiberty.org) – On Tuesday, former Vice President Mike Pence detailed many of the actions he would take on his first day in office if he wins the 2024 presidential election. During a call with reporters, Pence spoke about the executive actions he would be making in order to unwind many of the actions of the Biden administration and rolling back the federal support given to transgender youth and abortions.
He stated that since he launched his presidential campaign he has argued that the country was in a lot of trouble and that on Day 1 they would be focusing on putting actions in place that will help restore the course taken by the nation.
As he stated the first thing he would do was rescind the Biden administration’s executive actions that promoted abortion and provided federal resources and legal support to those seeking an abortion in the country. Pence would also disband the “Reproductive Rights Task Force” that was created by President Biden.
Another executive order would block any federal funding from being provided for gender reassignment surgeries for minors. As he stated he was also going to reverse the Department of Health and Human Services guidance which asserted that “early gender-affirming care is crucial to overall health.” Finally, he was going to block the Department of Education from promoting transgender curricula and was going to block federal funding for all districts that promoted this type of curriculum in their elementary schools.
Previously, Pence had also supported a group of parents who had sued a school district in Iowa which provided students with the option to create a support plan for socially transitioning in schools even without the permission of their parents.
