(TargetLiberty.org) – On Friday, former Vice President Mike Pence stated that if he became the President he would have his boots on the ground in Gaza.
During an interview with CNN anchor Jake Tapper, Pence who is running in the 2024 Republican presidential primary argued that now the discussions were about Americans who had been taken hostage by Hamas, a Palestinian militant group. Pence argued that while the recent release of two American hostages by the terrorist group was “welcomed” but that had he been the President he would have been on the phone with the Joint Special Operations command calling for the Navy SEALs, Delta Force, and Israeli Defense Forces to work together in order to rescue the hostages that were taken during Hamas’ attack earlier this month.
He added that he would inform Hamas that they had 12 hours to allow all hostages to leave or they would go after them.
President Biden in his release had argued that he was “overjoyed” by the release of the two hostages. He added that these individuals along with their families would have the U.S. government’s complete support in their recovery and that their privacy needed to be respected at this time.
Pence is not the only presidential candidate to have called for the American military force to become involved in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. On Thursday, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) argued that he would call for Congress to authorize the use of the American military against Hamas during a NewsNation interview.
