Pelosi's Husband Was Just Charged With a DUI

The Pelosis Just Got Devastated With Another Charge — Will They Be Off The Hook?

(TargetLiberty.org) – The House Speaker’s husband has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI) following an accident last month. If he’s found guilty he could face jail time. Already, though, people are asking if a rich liberal will really face the consequences of his crime.

Late on May 28, Paul Pelosi, who’s been married to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) since 1963, was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident. Cops say Pelosi was driving a Porsche sports car and crossing a state road when he was hit by a Jeep. According to the California Highway Patrol, Pelosi was responsible for the collision and, when officers arrived, he was unsteady on his feet and slurring his words. A blood sample taken after the accident showed he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.082% — and California’s legal limit for driving is 0.08%.

If convicted, Pelosi — who has been released on his “promise to appear” for arraignment, not a bail bond — faces a minimum of five days in jail. Additionally, he could be given up to five years of probation. Other possible punishments include having an ignition interlock device fitted to his car, which would lock the ignition until he provides a clear breath sample, or undergo a mandatory “drinking driver course.” The question is, will he face any punishment at all?

Fox host Jesse Watters has already accused state officials of giving Pelosi “liberal privilege.” The Highway Patrol has said it has video of the crash, but it hasn’t been released. Is the system already setting things up to quietly let Paul Pelosi off the hook?
