(TargetLiberty.org) – A 22-year-old mother from NY City says she’s going to sue the NYPD for $10 million after being wrongfully arrested for improperly wearing a mask. On May 13, Kaleemah Rozier and her five-year-old son were on their way home when NYPD officers approached her in the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station. The officers asked her to comply with the state order that mandates face masks on public transport, and after an exchange of views, she was forcibly arrested.

Rozier says she didn’t resist and the cops used excessive force; however, the NYPD is telling a different story. They say when they asked Rozier to wear a mask properly she refused and became abusive, then physically resisted arrest and had to be restrained. Rozier also admitted to the New York Daily News that she threatened to cough on the officers.
