(TargetLiberty.org) – Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie could be planning a run at the White House in 2024, according to sources close to him. Christie himself isn’t ruling it out – and he’s dropped some hints that he’s considering it.
🚨 SCOOP: Chris Christie is seriously considering running for president in 2024.
He's told friends he'd be the only person in the 2024 field with executive experience who has run a presidential race before — a clear shot at Gov. Ron DeSantis. https://t.co/CA9HdnP8KE

On April 21, news site Axios reported that friends of Christie say he’s seriously thinking of a second shot at the Republican nomination. He threw his hat in the ring in 2016, but dropped out after poor primary showings and supported the Trump campaign. Now he’s reportedly told friends that his decision on whether to run next time won’t be swayed if Trump tries for re-election.
While many Republicans saw Christie as a moderate during his eight years as New Jersey’s governor, since leaving office he’s repositioned himself to the right of the GOP. If he does try for the 2024 nomination, he’ll likely be aiming to win the backing of Trump’s supporters. The question is, what happens to that plan if Trump, himself, runs again?
