More Law Enforcement Killed Under Joe Biden's Watch Since 1995

( – New data shows the first year of the Biden administration has been the most dangerous year for American cops in over a quarter of a century. Is this just a coincidence, or are Biden’s liberal policies to blame?

An FBI database of duty-related deaths shows more cops have been killed on the job since Joe Biden became president than any other year since 1995. In 2021, 73 police officers were deliberately killed in the line of duty; that’s close to 60% higher than the 46 killed in 2020, under President Trump. The last time law enforcement casualties reached this level was in 1995, when 74 officers were killed.

The 2021 data is bad however one looks at it, but there’s an even more chilling fact hidden in the numbers. Police have always faced danger on duty, but last year an increasing number of cops didn’t die when they confronted criminals; they were deliberately targeted. The database shows 32 of the dead officers were killed by ambushes or unprovoked attacks — more than any year since at least 1987.

After Biden took office, the “defund the police” movement gained momentum, with police budgets slashed across Democrat-controlled states and cities. That meant the police had fewer resources to protect the public – and themselves. More importantly, it also cast the police as an enemy, and could have helped legitimize attacks on them.

Jason Johnson, president of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund, said “a lot of leaders in these cities and leaders in Congress and leaders in the White House have really voiced a lack of respect for law enforcement officers.”

Now we’re seeing the consequences.
